Wouldn’t you love to be able to take a trip up Pikes Peak on the Cog railway, and then enjoy riding down on a bike? Now you can!
This Tour begins at our bike shop in Old Colorado City (Colorado Springs) with some great Eurasia Cafe coffee and a light breakfast. After breakfast, we will head out to drop you off at the Cog railway station for a beautiful train ride to the summit. When you arrive at the top, we will be waiting to greet you with bikes and all the equipment you need for an unforgettable ride down America’s most famous mountain!
The biking portion of this tour is the same as the “Bike Pikes Peak” tour.
While it doesn’t happen often, there are times due to weather that we are not able to drive our vans to the very top of Pikes Peak. When this occurs, we begin our bike trip at a lower elevation. If this takes place, you will still join us for the bike ride, but your Cog portion of the trip will be cancelled. When we arrive back at the shop, you will be refunded the price difference.
We would recommend this company to all! Really well organised, really welcoming and a great experience for all abilities. The package includes a super Greek meal at the end that the kids loved. All equipment supplied and was of high quality. The Cog Rail was fun and a unique experience. The 20 mile decent was great fun and a straightforward cycle, being a brilliant way to see the mountain. One final piece of advice - take some layers as the first section is on the snow line and it was cold, the second section is above the tree line and the third section is much warmer! Gloves, high visibility jackets and helmets all supplied.
Thank you for an awesome tour! This was forsure one of the highlights of our Colorado trip. The tour was as much fun as it was well organized with our safety in mind. The view up there is incredible and it really was a rush coming down. We took the Ride and Rail which was a great way to see it all.
Wow! What a great experience! This was a once in a lifetime experience but well worth it. Scary at first. Going down the side of a mountain on a bicycle at 35-45 mph. No guard rails at some spots! After you become accustomed to the bike and the feeling that you are flying, it is a lot of fun
The scenery is amazing, and the service was excellent. We booked the Ride-N-Rail tour, which takes the cog railway to the Pikes Peak summit. After the rail ride, we joined a group with great guides for a bike-riding thrill all the way to the bottom of Pikes Peak!
Would highly recommend this. It is a great trip and the tour guides are very knowledgable. The equipment is all new and in great condition, and it needs to be for the cycle down. Plenty of stops to take pictures on the way down. Finished off with a nice lunch in a local Greek restaurant. I am going back to do another tour. Thanks guys
